1965 “SMOKE” CHEVROLET CHEVELLE 2012

Designed by the artists of Lionel Racing, the cars in the new Octane Garage line aren't the cars you see on track. Instead, they are the cars you could see in the garages of motorsports’ biggest stars – if that star had a ride customized just for them. Each of these fantasy die-cast is inspired by a combination of racing's most memorable names and sheer American muscle. Whether it's a 1960s-era Chevrolet designed in honor of driver, owner and champion Tony Stewart or a retro Ford Mustang that captures the hot-rod personality of the great John Force, Octane Garage is a die-cast collection that's cool, vintage, and bluntly bad-ass. New die-cast in the Octane Garage line will be introduced each year under the Lionel Racing banner. Both 1:24 and 1:64 scale die-cast will be offered if tooling is available. The first car to be featured in the Octane Garage is the 1965 "Smoke" Chevelle designed for Tony Stewart.

The 1965 "Smoke" Chevrolet Chevelle – Designed for Tony Stewart

Nobody on the planet epitomizes the hard-core edge of the Octane Garage line of die-cast like Tony Stewart. When he gets behind the wheel, Stewart doesn't just win. He dominates. And he does it with an intimidating dose of bravado backed up by his unbelievable talent and consistent results. This 1965 "Smoke" Chevrolet Chevelle captures Stewart's fiery personality with a whole lot of cool. The ivory base gives way to an edgy maroon and black design which includes Stewart's signature nickname, racing stripes, and an intimidating skull motif. If this die-cast were a real car, it would be in Stewart's personal garage. The 1965 "Smoke" Chevrolet Chevelle die-cast is now available in both 1:24 hood-open and also a 1:64 hood-open models. It’s the first Octane Garage die-cast ever produced – and quantities are limited.
